Mike isn't to Amir what Amir is to Jake at all. Amir compliments and completes Jake's life, Amir is the Yin of Jake's existence.

Mike is just a douche. He doesn't fulfill Amir at all and is only offering him short-lived satisfaction. It's a new phase that Amir will pass through quickly in favor of the Jakeyness he so adores.

Jake will be back. Or this show will end. Which is something they would probably inform us of. I'm sure they have little desire to leave their few thousand viewers sitting around going "huh..." while they sit around watching television. They've been nothing but nice to us in the past and until they come right out and say it... it should be assumed this is just a plot line that they're really enjoying.

They're probably sitting around laughing at how far we're reading into this.

I laughed out loud at the fact that Amir's part in the dialogue parallels various earlier episodes while Mike's is the opposite of Jake's in said episodes. I can think of three reasons why you wouldn't think this is funny: 1) You're upset because Jake isn't there and this emotion overrides any amount of joy you would have from watching this episode. 2) You haven't seen the episodes they're referring to. 3) You don't have a sense of humor.

I'm going to give you be benefit of the doubt and say that it's probably the first reason.

Really great. There's no reason to freak out just because Jake isn't in this episode. Not having Jake there let's us see even more of Amir's personality when not sycophantically latched onto Jake, and the way he reacts when treated with interest instead of scorn.

I think it's sweet and it will be awesome when Jake has to understand a changing Amir.

The new guy in this one isn't going to keep Amir happy for long. Part of Jake and Amir that keeps it going is that Jake calls Amir out on his ... interesting tendencies lol. Again, you all realize Mike The New Guy is sitting at Jake's iMac still connected to Jake's dual monitor at Jake's desk next to Jake's robot sitting in front of the window. Also, and i know i'm not the only one who's said this, Jake would be stupid to leave CH, he's highly respected around the office, has this site going for him (and Amir), gets some extra cash modeling for BustedTees, and gets good pay for having what i would call a dream job, and is on TV. I know "all 6 episodes have been filmed", who cares? He's still not gonna up and leave as soon as the show premiers. Feel free to reply however you want to this, positively, negatively, whatever. I digg the recreation aspect of the video. It was a good setting to better compare the new guy to jake, by using something familiar [a video that has already been done]. Awesome.

I liked the "so second movies twice then" reference. This skit wasn't horrible, I'm not going to be biased against it because I love Jake and miss him, but it's still a sad notion to think that one day, J&A will move on.

This is obvious bullshit, numerous reasons why this is.
I feel as though i shouldn't even bother going into detail, but i will for arguments sake.

First point, why the fuck would Jake leave CH after they just got a show with MTV.

If he really was to, they wouldn't just release it in a video like that.

Along with that, no one goes to a job interview, gets their job, and moves to california in around a week, starting the monday after getting the job.

1) unprofessional
2) it was in a damn J&A episode, the way Jake got the job and everything,
3) He's with a website that is increasingly growing by the day, getting more and more known

this is comment number four million or so but i just had to say... i like J&A as much as the next guy (and in a healthy, as in not obsessive, way) but i still can't tell if all the people going apeshit about jake "leaving" are being serious, playing along, or just sucking up?

to me this is so obviously just the setup to some mini J&A arc.. with jake coming back in 1-2 episodes. i hope this is self evident but if anyone needs consoling... there's no mention of jake leaving ANYWHERE else and if he actually was moving to cali, i'm sure he'd get a bigger sendoff than this.

Why would he post it as a REPLY to another post instead of posting it differently altogether? Plus countless people have emailed Jake, and he's replied to everybody saying it wasn't true. And I double checked that Q&A on Collegehumor. It isn't ending.

In the next episode, we will see Jake firing his gun at Sawyer. After the confusion is it explained that his flight was vanishing over the US and ended up on the Island.

Now being serious, after 800 comments I think, Andy Kaufman isn't dead, and when doesn't say fnord he directs screwup videos for Collegehumor.

In the last few days, Conan O'Brien has mentally prepared homself for his new show in California. He wanted to take that seat for a long time, and he also earned it. Just like he earned to become a legendary icon in New York comedy.

The best way to pay the man an homage and acknowledge how deeply he will be missed is having Jake Hurwitz play a similar role while being sneaky at his workplace. In show business that would not be unusual, since appearences are everything.

Besides that everything else is a sketch, and salutes to those who did have noticed the usage of sentences from previous clips.

On behalf of the guy who played or is Mike, he was brave to accept a possible rant war on him.

Ok I'm posting this near the top so you can all see it.

We're ending the Jake and Amir sketches...

Jake really had to move to the west coast for work related issues and the fact that collegehumor.com has been bought out by MTV and they wanted newer "staff members" (who are the actors at collegehumor).

No, we will not continue sketches with Mike but a shout out to him for filling in for Jake on the last sketch. Jake was really sad he couldn't make the last sketch but it would've been too hard for him to be in it.

Thanks to all you loyal fans out there for being awesome and following the show. It meant a lot. You guys are the best.

We're ending the Jake and Amir sketches...

Jake really had to move to the west coast for work related issues and the fact that collegehumor.com has been bought out by MTV and they wanted newer "staff members" (who are the actors at collegehumor).

No, we will not continue sketches with Mike but a shout out to him for filling in for Jake on the last sketch. Jake was really sad he couldn't make the last sketch but it would've been too hard for him to be in it.

Thanks to all you loyal fans out there for being awesome and following the show. It meant a lot. You guys are the best.

I call shenanigans. Collegehumor is owned by Connected Ventures LLC, which is owned by IAC / InterActiveCorp -- which is a well funded conglomerate with revenue in the billions.

If Amir wanted to make a post that everyone could see -- THIS IS A BLOG and he could have just posted a short note on there... just like they have in the past with the t-shirt contest, announcements about video milestones, new features, and the recent poster contest.

Long and short, this "Amir" guy is most likely just posting bullocks.

I agree with your shenanigans. Not because I'm desperately trying to keep J&A alive, but that Jake moving to west coast doesn't make any sense.
1) Mtv didn't buy collegehumor
2) Even if they did, the headquarters for Mtv is in NYC, so moving him to west coast is silly.
3) if jake works for mtv as an actor, why send him all the way out to the west coast, away from headquaters, from collegehumor [now "owned" by mtv], and all of his infamous roles. All these vital things are in NYC. there's just no reason for him to be in california.

According the the United States law, the MUST, i repeat MUST, release this information ahead of time. Period, there is no such thing as "keeping it quiet" Keeping it quiet is called insider trading. And you probably know about insider trading cuz you watch the tabloid shows and heard about Martha Stewart. Any business transation that involves a public company's (Viacom, owns MTV) purchase of any other company, private or public, must be released to the public, or Viacom faces HUGE fines.

I can assure you they aren't going to face multi million dollar fines in this economy so Derek and Tom can get "hyped up" about a new website.

This is clearly fake. Once, while looking back at old comments, I saw a REAL post by Jake and Amir and it looked nothing like this. Much like on CollegeHumor.com, there was a signifigant change in the username to let us know it was actually the staff.
If someone can find this, post it as a reply - but I can assure you, this is not really Amir.

Another thing, anyone can make their name Amir. If he did want to post, he would have posted it on the front page - not go make us search for it in the comments.
